Thank you for your interest in participating in the Scottish Highland Games at the Elizabeth Celtic Festival at Casey Jones Park in Elizabeth, CO. Previously all the info was on paper and mailed out. That information is now listed below and the application and payment method have been converted to online. Please read the information below, submit your application, and then your payment. A Paypal account is NOT REQUIRED as they will process without one. Checks are still an option and are detailed below. Athletics Info:

Athletic Heavy Events (9:00 am Start Time!!!!!!) 

Entry Fee: $50 covers all entries in one class.   

Registration: In advance by July 4. Pay a $50 field entry fee; accepted between 8:00 am – 8:30 a.m. on competition day only if space is available. 

Schedule: Posted by 8:30 a.m. each day; events will start at 9:00 a.m. 

Classifications: Men’s A, Men’s B, Men’s C, Men’s Masters, Men’s Under 200 lbs. & Women’s Open, Women Masters and Women Lightweight 

General Rules for All Athletic Competition: 

  • Competitors must be kilted. A few kilts will be available for a $10 rental fee. 
  • Saturday events will include the Men’s A, Men’s B, Men’s Masters, Women’s LightWeight, & Women’s Masters. (Masters Scoring)
  • Sunday events will include Men’s Light Weight, Men’s C, & Women’s Open’. (Masters Scoring) 
  • All warm-up throws must be completed prior to scheduled event start time. 
  • All competitors must be members of Rocky Mountain Scottish Athletes (RMSA) or an equivalent organization. RMSA membership forms will be available on the field.

Other information you need to know:

All events are sanctioned by Rocky Mountain Scottish Athletes

RMSA rules apply subject to the interpretation of the Judges and the Athletic Director.

  • Entry Fees:

$50 for the competitor if you pre-register by July 3rd.  You get one ticket for the Festival. You may submit your payments via the Paypal button under the application form below or via check. All checks must be in U.S. funds.

  • Medals are awarded to the top three places in each contested event.   

You can camp at this magnificent park. Please contact Elizabeth Parks & Recreation directly if you wish to camp in Casey’s RV Hideaway at 303-646-3599.  They are the only ones who can take your reservations for the upper camping area.  The festival is no longer associated as a contact for the RV park.  Lower Camping (primitive/no hookups) is not a part of Casey Jones Park but rented from a separate entity.
